John puts self defense into a realistic aspect! I’m someone that sees the importance of self defense and started taking classes from a military and police point of view. John brought me down to earth by breaking down self defense! I was using techniques that were meant for team combat situations, not from a practical situation suited for personal, individual protection. John’s techniques are simple but effective! All of his training uses real-life situations and he puts an emphasis on why an individual will use each technique! I have been around firearms and been comfortable with firearms for the past 15 years and thought I knew what the idea of self defense was! I thought self defense was getting a carry permit and I’m good to go. Looking back on that idea, I put myself into dangerous situations just because I had a firearm! It’s foolish to carry a weapon without taking this class. John not only has methods for weaponry-based self protection but has black belts in various martial arts. If you want the upper hand in protecting you and your family, there is nothing better than putting both in his hand-to- hand and weapon-based self defense techniques on your side. Most people think that these classes are for individuals, but my whole family took his class, including my two younger sisters and my mother, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience in getting prepared for any situation. Most instructors in this type of training have a hard time in adjusting training that worked for my sisters, but John has the ability to teach at any level. Taking his realistic approach, beginners and veteran users will find his technique to be at the top of the self defense world.
